Porcupine fish or porcupine blow fish are perfect gifts for collectors of weird and unusual items.  They come with a hanger for easy display.  Porcupine fish are closely related to puffer fishes but porcupine fish have heavier spines on their body. Porcupine fish are medium to large sized fish, and are found in shallow temperate and tropical seas worldwide.  Porcupine blow fish have the ability to double their size by inflating their body by swallowing water or air, thereby becoming rounder. This increase in size reduces the range of potential predators to those with much bigger mouths. These are sourced from commercial fisheries, rather than being hunted specifically for decoration, the bodies are collected after the fish are caught in general net hauls or coastal fishing operations.
